Egyptian-Italian Business Forum commences December 2 Event aims to consolidate economic ties, forge green technology partnerships to achieve sustainable development
The Italian Exhibition Group, in cooperation with the Italian embassy in Cairo, is organising the Egyptian-Italian Business Forum in Cairo on 2 and 3 December to address issues of water, energy, waste, and utilities. Minister of Industry and Trade Amr Nassar, Minister of Environmental Affairs, Yasmine Fouad, Italian ambassador to Cairo Giampaolo Cantini, and CEO of the Italian Exhibition Group Ugo Ravanelli, are attending the inaugural session of the Forum. The conference aims to conclude a partnership between Italy and Egypt in the field of green technology for sustainable growth to achieve an improved living standard. In its sessions, the forum will address through panel discussions water management, desalination, wastewater treatment, and sustainable transport to reduce pollutant emissions and improve air quality, with a special focus on compressed or liquefied natural gas. Furthermore, the conference will discuss the role of renewable sources in the global transformation of energy fields, innovative machinery and solutions for intelligent network management, as well as the environmental impact of these projects. The convention is set to review success stories of waste management, collection and recovery of organic residues, agro-food, plastic recycling and other municipal and industrial waste. Ravanelli said relations between Egypt and Italy are close and extensive, and next month's business forum aims to consolidate economic ties as well as forge green technology partnerships to achieve sustainable development.
