7.8% increase in exports' value in June 2018
CAPMAS , Imports' value increased by 28.2% to $5.72bn during June 2018, versus $4.46bn for the same month of the previous year

The balance of trade deficit value reached $3.62bn during June 2018, versus $2.51bn for the same month of the previous year, an increase of 44%, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In a recent report, the CAPMAS explained that the value increased by 7.8% up to $2.1bn during June 2018, versus $1.95bn for the same month of previous year, due to the increased value of some commodities, such as crude oil by 33.8%, plastics in primary forms by 45.4%, miscellaneous edibles by 15.7%, and soap and washing detergents by 120.2%.
Meanwhile, exports' value of few commodities decreased during June 2018, versus the same month of the previous year, such as garments by 17.5%, fresh fruits by 33.2%, fertilisers by 27.8%, and furniture by 13.7%.
Imports' value increased by 28.2% to $5.72bn during June 2018, versus $4.46bn for the same month of the previous year, owing to the increased value of some commodities, such as iron or steel by 106.1%, crude oil by 84.4%, plastics in primary forms by 61.3%, and vehicles by 78.2%.
Imports of several commodities decreased in June 2018, versus the same month of the previous year, such as petroleum products by 15.6%, and wheat by 15.1%.
