Review: Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro 2017
Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Pro for the middle and upper class with advanced features at favourable price
Published in Daily News Egypt on 22 - 11 - 2017

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is available in black, blue, gold, and pink, with a simple user-friendly design.
The device has a metal unibody design with curved edges that makes the phone easy to carry and use. It also features a 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED display.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro's design comes in line with its previously released phones. The phone has a physical home button with a capacitive button on each side. The home button is in the bottom middle under the screen, while the navigation buttons are on the right side. The headset, front camera, proximity sensor, and lights come at the top of the screen. The volume rocker keys are on the left side. The primary camera comes with LED flash on the back of the phone.
The phone measures 152.40 x 74.70 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) millimetres. While these are solid dimensions for a smartphone, unfortunately it did not receive any certificates of water or dust resistance.
Screen
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro comes with a high quality, clear screen, providing an enjoyable biewing experience for pictures and videos.
The 5.5-inch screen represents 73.1% of the total surface of the phone, offering good display quality and better life of battery compared to other types of screens. It also supports multi-touch. The most beautiful aspect of the phone is undoubtedly its Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with 16 million colours.
The Galaxy J7 Pro comes with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels at 401 pixels per inch. It also supports an "always-on display" feature, which can be customised so you do not have to wake the screen each time a notification makes its way to your phone.
The Samsung J7 Pro also supports high-definition speakers that offer clear sound. The speakers come in the form of stereo speakers. It sports a noise cancelling microphone providing great sound clarity when making voice calls or listening to multimedia.
Camera
The Galaxy J7 Pro has good cameras that provide suitable shooting for most users. It features a 13-megapixel snapper on the back with a f/1.7 aperture with the option to record 1080p full HD video, at 30 frames per second. Samsung has tucked in a 13-megapixel front shooter too, accompanied by LED flash that helps to shoot in low-light mode. It also supports recording 1080p video, which means that it is not different from the basic camera, except in the aperture and some other features.
The primary camera is supported by many features such as auto-focus, lens detection, touch lens focus, geolocation, face detection, HDR, panoramic shooting and LED flash.
Technical Specifications
The Samsung J7 Pro comes with good technology components that support good performance for users without experiencing any problems or faults during use. The new phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset. As you may already know, the chipset is manufactured by Samsung itself. The processor is an Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 with Mali-T830MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 3 GB of RAM, which is enough for light to normal multitasking. Internal storage is 32/64 GB which can be expanded by a microSD card to up to 256 GB.
The phone also comes with a 3,600mAh non-removable lithium-ion battery due to its unibody design. It provides long periods of work without the need to charge more than once. It can support music play time of 91 hours, and call durations of up to 24 hours.
The phone includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and FM radio. It also accommodates dual nano-SIM cards that support 4G LTE and 3G.
