Al-Sisi stresses to Hungarian PM importance of dealing with countries that support terrorism
The president earlier met with US congressmen, and asserted Egypt's stance towards such countries

Egypt's president Abdel fattah Al-Sisi said on Monday that he discussed with the Hungarian Prime Minister (PM) Viktor Orbán the importance of dealing with countries that support and finance terrorism, according to state owned Middle East News Agency (MENA)
President Al-Sisi met with PM Orban amid the Visegrad Group summit in Budapest, where Egypt's participation is the first of its kind for an Arab country.

The president further insisted the two parties discuss the latest developments in the region, including Libya and Syria, clarifying Egypt's situation regarding securing its borders and hosting refugees.
Moreover, President Al-Sisi expressed Egypt's support of a two-state solution to the Isreali- Palestinian conflict.
In a similar context, the president received a delegation of United States (US) Congressmen on Sunday, headed by Senator Roger Wicker, member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services.
The congressmen praised Egypt's efforts and policies towards combating terrorism, according to a presidential statement.
During the meeting, President Al-Sisi called for international cooperation to make tough decisions against countries that support terrorist groups through arms, funds, political, and media coverage.
Egypt, among other countries, announced in June cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar and shutting down air and sea ports for Qatari transports, for "Qatar's support for terrorism".
The president also touched on Egypt's reliance on cooperation between international powers, particularly the US, to reach a two-state solution to the Isreali- Palestinian conflict.
President Al-Sisi has long expressed Egypt's support of the two-state solution, as he reportedly introduced US president Donald Trump to a strategy to solve the Palestinian issue during his visit to the White House. The Egyptian president referred to the plan as the "deal of the century," which Israeli media reported to be based on a two-state solution.
