The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority's (NTRA) report for February showed a decline in the internet browsing quality index (HTTP browsing test) in Cairo. Service was tested with 14,700 connection attempts through the three mobile operators—Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat. 19 of those attempts were interrupted. According to the NTRA's report, Orange ranked first in terms of internet browsing quality service through its network, after testing it with 4,883 attempts—none of the attempts were blocked; however, 5 were interrupted. Vodafone occupied the second place after testing its network with 5,052 attempts, 6 of which were interrupted. Etisalat occupied the third place, after testing it with 4,847 internet browsing attempts, 8 of which were interrupted, while none were blocked. In terms of the video streaming quality index, the report showed an improvement in the quality of that service in Greater Cairo by some mobile phone companies during February, through testing the three mobile networks of the three operators with 7,300 attempts. According to the report, Vodafone occupied the first place for the quality level of video streaming services, while Etisalat came in second and Orange third.
