CAIRO: Amr Zaki played his first game with Hull City as they threw away their lead twice to draw 2-2 with fellow struggling side Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink gave Hull the lead after 11 minutes but an own goal from Anthony Gardner gifted Wolves the equalizer four minutes after the restart. A penalty from Stephen Hunt restored Hull s advantage in the 52nd minute but the Tigers once again surrendered their lead to allow Wolves Matthew Jarvis to secure a share of spoils in the 67th minute. Egyptian striker Zaki, who joined Hull from Zamalek on loan until the end of the season, started on the bench before being introduced nine minutes past the hour mark instead of American striker Jozy Altidore. The 26-year-old, who was cheered on by the home crowd, repeatedly moved to the right flank and whipped in a decent cross on 81 minutes. He did not have much time to score on his debut with Hull, who lie second from bottom in the league table with 20 points, one adrift of the safety zone. Zaki is looking to resurrect his career in the Premier League, having failed to earn a permanent stay at Wigan Athletic last season due to disciplinary problems.
