ALGIERS: Egypt added another gold medal in the 2007 All-African Games after the Egyptian volleyball team beat Tunisia 3-1 in the final on Sunday. The Egyptian team was a set down after Tunisia won the first set 25-21, but the lively quartet Hamdi Al-Safi, Abdullah Abdul-Salam, Ahmed Salah and Mohamed Abdel-Moniem turned the game in Egypt s favor. The Egyptians won three straight sets 25-16, 25-20 and 25-19 to settle the game. The volleyball team followed in the footsteps of the handball team, who also struck gold after beating hosts Algeria in the final.
