Launch of second CSR Forum in Cairo on 3, 4 May: Hassan Mostafa
Forum will discuss government's plan to invest in individual Egyptian citizens, how to create competitive environment to raise efficiency

Cairo will host the second round of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum for companies on 3 and 4 May called "Uniting Efforts to Achieve Objectives" to achieve sustainable development through the individual Egyptian citizen under the slogan "A Good Citizen is a Globally Competing Product".
Representatives from government agencies, a number of ambassadors, representatives of the private sector and civil society organisations, and Egyptian and international organisations will attend the Forum, according to CEO of CSR Egypt, who is organising the forum, Hassan Mostafa.
This 2016 event comes after the success of the first round of the forum the previous year, which succeeded in creating a state of integration between the goals of the government and private sector companies. The first round of the forum was attended by more than 750 people from the representatives of the companies, relevant authorities, and the ministers of Planning, Social Solidarity, Housing, and public figures.
Mostafa said this year's forum is being prepped to cope with the state plans for development, especially after President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi said 2016 will be the year of youth. On this basis, there have been preparations for the development of an integrated vision of how to advance Egyptian citizens and support their capabilities in order to be the cornerstone of development.
The forum will discuss the government's plan to invest in the Egyptian citizen, how to create a competitive environment to raise efficiency, stressing the need for cooperation of the companies operating in the market to secure the future of their country and the markets in which they work.
Chairman and founder of Terous Foundation Hatem Khater said the second round of the 2016 CSR Forum will put forward a single vision to develop good citizens who can compete on an international level. Such a vision needs to be agreed upon by all stakeholders.
