The Engineering Consultants Group (ECG) has won the designing rights of the R1 Parcel phase of Emaar Misr's Marassi project in Sidi Abdel Rahman region on the North Coast, said company chairman Amr Allouba. He explained that the phase is located on an area of 99,092 sqm, overlooking a 900-metre sandy beach. He added that construction works occupy 36% of the land of the project, which includes four different types of units of a variety of designs, where the total area of flat constructions amounts to 129,584 sqm. Allouba said the stage will include 1,105 residential and commercial units, noting that the company will conduct initial designs to plan the general plan, as well as the geotechnical survey, traffic impact study, design planning and detailed design in addition to obtaining design permits. The company will also estimate costs and launch a tender for the implementation. Allouba also noted that the company is designing Rehab Mall located next to Rehab compound in New Cairo on an area of 54,029 sqm. He added that the four-floor mall is on a total construction area of 45,850 sqm. ECG will cover theoretical designs, as well as planning designs, in addition to the design development, obtaining permits and launching a tender for implementation.
