EGP 1.36bn in US passenger cars sales in first 5 months of 2015
Chevrolet Aveo is in top position for most sold American car in Egypt, achieving EGP 367m in sales

The American passenger car market in Egypt achieved sales of approximately EGP 1.36bn over the first five months of this year. This was out of the passenger car market's total sales in Egypt, estimated at EGP 12bn over the same period, representing 11.3% of total sales.
A total of 9,720 American cars were sold out of the total market sales, amounting to 76,700 sold cars. The American market acquired 12.7% of the cars sold in the market in Egypt.
The Chevrolet Aveo was on top of the list for the most sold American cars in Egypt. Its sales stood at EGP 367m in the period between the beginning of 2015 and last May. The number of the sold Aveo cars exceeded 3,500 cars.
The Aveo acquired 4.5% of the passenger cars market in Egypt, representing approximately 36.4% of American car sales in the Egyptian market.
On the other side, sales for the Chevrolet Lanos reached approximately EGP 244m over the same period. After selling 3,133 cars, the Chevrolet Lanos acquired second place. The Chevrolet Optra, on the other hand, was in third place, with sales at EGP 120m, selling 940 cars.
