Nile Trading and Engineering Company Al-Futtaim Group Egypt, Honda's agent in the country, will release the new design of the Honda City model in July at a starting price of EGP 165,000. Al-Futtaim will release the car during the second half of 2014, and will begin supplying the model to Honda's authorised distributers directly upon its release into the market. A source from Al-Futtaim Group Egypt said the new Honda City will be available in three grades. The first grade is the Basic, with a starting price of EGP 165,000-170,000. The second is the Half Full grade, with a starting price of EGP 175,000; the High Line grade will be available for EGP 180,000-185,000. The company source, who asked to remain anonymous, told Al-Borsa that the Honda City will be equipped with a 1.5 litre-capacity engine and 118 HP, similarly to its predecessor. The car will also come equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 11 seconds. The features available in the Honda City include a traction control system, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, front and side airbags to protect the driver and other passengers, anti-skid ABS brakes, EBD to distribute the brake force electronically, front fog lights and other lights with LED technology and a multi-function steering wheel.
