Automotive companies have launched new advertising campaigns within marinas located along the North Coast, away from the violence seen in Cairo and other governorates in Upper Egypt.

Automotive experts say the country's economic recession along with political turmoil seen throughout the street has hurt the market and forced a number of car companies and dealerships to decrease their total spending on advertising campaigns during the summer season. Summer is usually considered the most profitable season annually for car companies, with a number of newspapers, magazines, and satellite television networks focusing their interest in social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

GB Ghabour Auto recently launched a free car repair advertising campaign for Hyundai and M Grand generation vehicles. Hyundai Egypt's official publication announced on its Facebook page that free checkups and car repair services would be offered at the Zahran Market at the door to Marina 2 along the North Coast from 1pm to 11pm nightly, under the banner of Hyundai repair along the coast. Review and checkups for the Panido and XPanido models would also be conducted by the company. The offer, which started 7 August, will end 1 October.

GB Ghabour's new Mazda 3 model will be put on display and offered at Door 5 of the Tivoli Marina. The car possesses four cylinder 1600 CC capacity engines, 105 horse power, and four speed automatic transmission.

The Egyptian International Motors Company (EIM), the licenced distributor for Kia and Renault vehicles in Egypt, launched a summer advertising campaign along the North Coast under the banner of KIA on Tour. The campaign allowed drivers to test all new KIA models at Door 4 of the marina, between 8 August and 1 September.

Renault Egypt's website along with its Facebook page announced a new free car repair services campaign at the Total station at Door 5 of the marina, which began on 11 August.
