"Leave" protests start in different governorates
Published in Daily News Egypt on 28 - 06 - 2013

The 30 June Front, launched by the Tamarod campaign, along with political and revolutionary groups, organized protests on 28 June entitled "Leave" in different governorates.
The protests were planned in preparation for the anticipated 30 June demonstrations, which will call on citizens to withdraw confidence from President Morsi, and demand early presidential elections.
"Leave" protests started after the Friday prayers and are scheduled to last till 9 pm.
Al-Tayar Al-Shaaby, a coalition of socialist parties, had announced that it would join the protests in different governorates; one march has been scheduled to start in front of Al-Azhar mosque and head to Tahrir square in Cairo, and another will head to Maadi.
The protests are not limited to the country's capital city; there are currently demonstrations in Gharbeya, Sharqeya, Daqahleya, Menufiya, Assuit, Beni Suef, Beheira, Alexandria, Kafr Al-Sheikh, Port Said, Damietta, Minya, Suez and Giza.
In Suez, hundreds of protesters gathered in Al-Arbaeen Square chanting against President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, where the Daily News Egypt witnessed retired military and police personnel joining in.
In Sharqeya, after Friday prayers, protesters organised marches and headed to the governorate building; "the marches include Dostour, Al-Tayar Al-Shaaby, 6 April and Tamarod members," said Ahmed Ragab, high board member of Al-Dostour Party in Sharqeya.
The Ministry of Health announced in a press release on Thursday that it would operate at full force from Friday until Sunday, with 1979 ambulances in different governorates.
The ministry also stated that it raised the degree of readiness of all facilities and emergency departments throughout the country, and that they will report on emergency events as they unfold.
