Mansour, Shikabala bury the hatchet
Published in Daily News Egypt on 22 - 09 - 2010

CAIRO: Mortada Mansour is set to withdraw the complaints he filed against Shikabala as reconciliation between both men was finally brought about on Tuesday.
"Zamalek's football director Ibrahim Hassan talked to me, and so did Shikabala who apologized for what he did," Mansour told FilGoal.com.
"I will withdraw the complaint that I filed to the Prosecutor General and also the one I made to the football committee."
Mansour, arguably one of the best lawyers in the country, has been back into the limelight since his appeal against the legitimacy of Zamalek's last presidential elections was upheld by the court of law.
In the wake of the unexpected verdict, Shikbala incurred the wrath of the former Zamalek chairman after provoking him during the Whites' 3-1 win over Smouha last weekend.
The 24-year-old made a shushing gesture to Masnour, who was spectating the game, and called on the fans to cheer for incumbent chief Mamdouh Abbas.
Shortly afterwards, the controversial attorney assailed Shikabala, branding him as 'ignorant' and 'decadent' among other harsh words.
He also said not only did the Egypt international insult him with gestures, but also threatened to kill him on his way to the dugout in the Egyptian Premier League match.
Mansour took legal actions against Shikabala and reported him to the Prosecutor General before turning a new page.
The skillful forward confirmed that there are no hard feelings between him and Mansour.
"He talked a lot about me in TV programs and that's why I lost my nerve during the match," he told reporters.
"When we talked we blamed each other, but now there are no problems between us."
Shika has always had the reputation of being a media-shy footballer.
