Azmi to leave Hacettepe in January
Published in Daily News Egypt on 21 - 12 - 2008

CAIRO: Egyptian defender Amir Azmi said on Saturday that he decided to leave Turkish side Hacettepe Spor when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The former Zamalek man is growing increasingly frustrated with the club's inability to give him his dues.
I sought permission from Hacettepe Sport officials to leave the club next month, Azmi told FilGoal.com.
I haven't received any money for three months. Hacettepe owe me $150,000.
The club's board asked me to give up all my dues, but I'm not ready to do so. I might give up just $100,000.
We haven't reached a final agreement yet but hopefully, the problem will be sorted out within a week.
The 25-year-old missed Hacettepe's last five games in the Turkish Super Lig.
The club suffered five consecutive defeats recently to slip to 17th place in the 18-team table.
"Hacettepe's current form contributed to my decision to depart. I used to play for big teams such as Zamalek, PAOK Saloniki and Anorthosis Famagusta who always compete for honors, Azmi added.
"I don't want to play for a team who strive to remain in the top-flight.
Azmi is yet to settle on his new destination, but said he was considering several offers.
"Denizlispor tabled an official bid to sign me. There are two Egyptian teams interested in my services as well but I prefer to remain in Turkey, he said.
