CAIRO: Amr Zaki s agent Nader Shawki is set to proceed on his attempts to terminate the Egypt striker s contract with Zamalek as he vowed to raise the case to FIFA. Zaki s request to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), which was based on accusing the club of failing to pay his basic salary, was denied on Tuesday. However, the forward s agent is adamant that FIFA will rule in favor of his client as he revealed his discontentment with the FA s verdict. I cannot understand how they came out to that decision, FIFA rules state that a player has the right to annul his contract if the club failed to fulfill its terms, Shawki told FilGoal.com. Shawki ruled out the possibility of reaching an agreement with Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas, who was involved in a recent bust-up with Zaki. Abbas refused to allow Zaki seal a move to Premiership side Wigan Athletic, who were on the verge of landing the 25-year-old in season-long deal. It is impossible to negotiate with Abbas after he insulted us in his office, added Shawki.
