Mokhtar pleased with Port Said performance
Published in Daily News Egypt on 21 - 09 - 2008

PORT SAID: Petrojet coach Mokhtar Mokhtar said that he was glad with the way his team played in the 2-2 draw against Masri on Saturday.
Of course we want to win every game, but I m content with both the result and the performance, Mokhtar told Modern Sport after the game.
Mokhtar said he chose to play the striking partnership of Sayed Hamdi and Hossam Osama instead of Alaa Ibrahim after he felt that the latter wasn't 100 percent ready to play.
Mokhtar s men surrendered their lead twice to allow Masri claim a home draw.
Lively left-back Osama Mohamed stunned the home crowd in the first minute to put Petrojet ahead.
Masri striker Ahmed Othman leveled the score three minutes after the restart but Mohamed Koffi restored Petrojet s lead 10 minutes later.
Masri's substitute Mohamed Al-Gabbas leveled the score in the 72nd minute, moments after his introduction.
Despite their second successive draw, Petrojet are still on top of the league table with 11 points, one ahead of second-placed Ismaili, who were handed a 3-2 defeat by Arab Contractors on Friday.
The Petroleum club missed out on extending their lead on the summit to three points.
Mokhtar, the former Ahly assistant, advised Masri s coaching staff to cool their temper during games.
Masri are a very good team and they have a good coach, but the coach s over tension can affect his players.
Meanwhile, Masri coach Hossam Hassan expressed his anger towards the game s referee, claiming that his team deserved a second half penalty kick.
What s happening to me and my team is simply refereeing terror, said Hassan.
Hassan, who watched the game from the stands as he s serving a six-game touchline ban, added that he is being targeted by referees in every Masri game.
Why is it accepted when referees make mistakes and it s not when I get angry over decisions sometimes? We should hire foreign referees to help us run our Egyptian League, concluded Hassan.
However, the former Egypt striker was overreacting to any decision that comes against his side.
He was caught on TV cameras insulting referee Essam Abdel-Fattah on several occasions.
Masri striker Mohamed Fahim thought he notched the equalizer in the 11th minute when he headed home Othman s cross.
But his goal was disallowed for offside, to the frustration of Hassan. TV replays justified Abdel-Fattah s decision.
