The murdered man was the father of the farmer's sister-in-law, and the farmer was taking revenge for his brother. The wife and her brother had killed the farmer s brother earlier.

A 20-year-old man kidnapped and raped his 14-year-old fiancé. Before the kidnapping, a fight had taken place between the man and the father of the girl over future groom's bad manners. He then kidnapped the girl and raped her in Al-Mahalla and Kafr Al-Sheikh.
A journalist s son was found dead floating in Al-Mansuriyya canal. According to Ahmad El-Sayed Anwar, journalist with Al-Jazeera's Cairo office, his son suddenly disappeared from home. A large explosion took place in a flat in 6th of October City. A man and his wife were killed immediately and a 13-year-old child suffered extensive burns. Ten containers of acetone and sulphuric acid were the explosive materials. The owner of the flat and his wife were making tea on a small flame beside the containers.
Another joyful occasion went bad when a wedding party turned into a funeral. The party was being held in an old house in Beni Sueif, which collapsed due to the huge number of people gathered in the building.
In another incident, Al-Wafd newspaper recounted how a crocodile escaped from the Pharaonic Village into the main stream of the Nile.
