60th Berlinale: First films debut in Panorama section

Works of old and new masters as well as newcomers comprise the program of the Panorama section of the 60th edition of the Berlin Film Festival.
Back with new works are Lothar Lambert, Peter Kern and Jacques Martineau and Olivier Ducastel, as well as Isao Yukisada, E J-Yong and Sébastien Lifshitz. The festival will lift the veil off first feature films by Mat Whitecross, Anahí Berneri and Scud as well as documentaries of Lucy Walker, Tamara Trampe/Johann Feindt and Michael Stock.
After roaming Asia, North and South America and Europe in search of new discoveries, half of the 50 films in the program have been confirmed this week. Once again documentaries are putting a strong show, making up about one-third of the program.
The Panorama Dokumente and the complete feature film program will be announced towards the end of January. All films are screening as either world or European premieres.
