Using energy in fighting ailments
Published in Daily News Egypt on 31 - 10 - 2008

Stress disorders, phobias, depression and other psychological and physical disorders are sure to curb one's lifestyle. And living in the bustling city of Cairo, it is safe to assume that you are subject to suffering one (or more) of the aforementioned ailments.
A lifestyle makeover is in order and Amr El-Dessouky, an expert in Human Energy Management (HEM), is offering just that.
Through courses he is teaching at Identity Center in Nasr City and To Be Smart Center in Mohandiseen, El-Dessouky reveals healing secrets and tips.
Human energy management or Aura-Chi Healing is a 5000-year-old science that uses Chi, or energy, to heal the physical and etheric body.
"We simply change the way people think, improve their health by eliminating negative thoughts and making them aware of ways to manage stress, depression and other psychological as well as some physical illnesses by controlling these feelings, El-Dessouky told Daily News Egypt.
"A human being is composed of a physical body and an electromagnetic field surrounding it that is affected by everything around us like people, colors, electronic sets like TV or mobile phones' radiation which create a disturbance in the electronic field and in turn make us feel bad or depressed, he explained.
According to El-Dessouky, by getting rid of the negative energy we can avoid phobias, depression, insomnia and stress. That's not all, once you learn to manage your energy, you will be able to defend yourself without moving a muscle and you will have a strong memory.
With 20 years of experience in practicing, studying and teaching HEM, El-Dessouky has helped a lot of people heal these ailments and restore their energy. He only started operating in Egypt five years ago.
"It gives additional power and maintains health; this is why people in east Asia live a longer life and have an average age of 80 , El-Dessouky added.
By using certain techniques of HEM you can reduce the temperature of someone who has a high fever and even heal injuries.
"Any problem in the human body occurs first at the electromagnetic field, we locate the place of the error in the field and remove it so the pain disappears, El-Dessouky explained.
"I myself have benefited from it so much; I now have a healthy and strong body which can receive strong hits without me feeling pain, he added.
HEM is practiced almost in every house in eastern Asia but it is also gaining huge popularity in Europe, the United States and in the Middle East where thousands of centers opened their doors to teach the science's healing techniques.
In Egypt, it is starting to gain popularity with a number of centers and prominent lecturers like Ibrahim El-Feqqy offering courses about relevant topics such as linguistic programming and memory management.
"Fifteen years ago people in Egypt didn't even accept the idea of HEM or understand it, but now the minimum attendance for any lecture is between 40 to 50 people with more and more people asking about it and wanting to learn, El-Dessouky said.
El-Dessouky organizes various courses on topics like pranic healing, the secret techniques of energy self-defense, emotional freedom techniques, reflexology, shiatsu, meditation and body talk.
"In our courses we don't use our hands; I train students to seize energy from the air and send it to each other; they can see the field surrounding each other's bodies and even sense it with their hands, El-Dessouky said.
He also organizes courses for children to enhance their intelligence with mental exercises as well as courses that help students use the surrounding energy.
El-Dessouky published two books on the topic called "Feng Shui or "Place Energy and "Body Talk. . He is currently working on his third book entitled "Colors and their Energy.
