SUEZ: Hundreds of protesters in Suez on Friday gathered at al-Arba'een Square to participate in the “Friday of Salvation” demonstrations. The protesters called for toppling the regime, ending the state of emergency imposed on Suez, and sacking the Minister of Interior. They marched with shrouds in their hands and chanted slogans opposing the rule of President Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood and demanding justice for the martyrs. Suez last Saturday witnessed riots and acts of violence that left nine people dead which prompted Morsi to impose the emergency law on Suez and two other Canal cities. BN
