CAIRO: Egypt's Prime Minister Hisham Qindeel is in Sudan for a two-day official visit with Sudanese government officials. He is also to inaugurate an Egyptian bank in the capital, Khartou, Sudan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Karti said in a statement the Egyptian Prime Minister was accompanied by 7 ministers “who would hold talks with their Sudanese counterparts on ways of pushing ahead economic relations between the two neighboring countries.” Karti said the Sudanese-Egyptian talks would touch on arrangements for financial transfers between the two countries through the meeting of their central bank governors. He added that the Egyptian Prime Minister would also be inaugurating a branch of Egypt's Al-Ahli Bank in Khartoum. Karti said that the two sides would also hold talks on the issue of electricity linkage, and sign agreements on border crossing points between Sudan and Egypt. The minister indicated that the Egyptian Prime Minister had fulfilled his pledge to make his first foreign visit to Sudan after assuming office, saying that his visit to Sudan came after the visit of the Sudanese President to Egypt which tackled a number of issues on bilateral relations.
