DUBAI: As part of Qatar Airways continued expansion into Africa, the company announced it was launching a daily flight to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The flight will be the second route into Tanzania and its 18th into the African continent overall. Qatar Airways has a total of 118 global routes. The first flight, which operates from Doha to Kilimanjaro via the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam, landed on July 25, the company said in a press release. “The flight QR546 to Kilimanjaro International Airport is operated by an A320 aircraft, with 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy,” it added. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's tallest mountain and attracts some 35,000 climbers annually.
