DUBAI: In an incident that has sparked widespread anger in Kuwait, two police officers allegedly kidnapped and raped a Philippines woman in a patrol car, local media reported. The reports indicate that the two policemen kidnapped the woman in the Farwaniya area and then forced her into their patrol car before raping her. A security source was reported by the Kuwait Times as saying “the victim told Farwaniya police station officers that two policemen stopped her and asked for her ID. “They then told her she was wanted and took her to an area in South Surra where they raped her in the back seat of the patrol car.” The police officers at the local station, however, refused to file the case, ordering the woman to go to another police station in a different area. The victim reported that she did not pay attention to the patrol's color or number, because “she trusted the police.” The alleged police officers, after raping her, told her to leave the car and sped away, leaving her, she said. Kuwait police confirmed to Bikyamasr.com that they are investigating the situation and “will uncover who was responsible.”
