CAIRO: Egypt's Coalition of the Artists of the Revolution announced on its official Facebook page that it supports presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi as the next president of Egypt, under the slogan “Moving towards a better future with Sabahi … we support you.” The Coalition said in a statement that it decided to support the long-time activist Hamdeen in his election campaign and to support him as the next president of Egypt “because of his history of struggle and his bias with the people and the poor and the workers, peasants and the working classes since the beginning of his career.” The statement added that the electoral program of Sabahi is capable of achieving a “renaissance” in Egypt and “to solve its problems and restore Egypt's leading role in the Arab and African world.”
