Manila (dpa) – A private tour plane crashed in the southern Philippines on Sunday, killing a Norwegian woman and the Filipino pilot, police said. The woman's husband, 3-year-old son and the co-pilot were injured in the crash on Camiguin Island, said Senior Superintendent Villamor Macoy, the provincial police commander. Racquel Estrande, 37, was on vacation with her husband Lane, 36, and son Jensol in the central province of Cebu and had hired the Cessna plane to take them to Camiguin Island for a tour. Macoy said the plane crashed after it was battered by strong wind. The plane, owned by a local tour operator in Cebu, plowed through coconut trees before crashing into the ground and breaking into three parts.
