City extended their lead at the top, Tottenham keep skyrocketing up the table, and Chelsea gain some ground. Here's your Prem wrap up. Chelsea beat Newcastle 3-0 thanks to a Drogba goal. Newcastle 0-3 Chelsea Chelsea thumped Newcastle Saturday afternoon 3-0 thanks to goals from Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou, and Daniel Sturridge. Under fire Chelsea manager Andre Villa-Boas could be pleased with one of his sides' most complete performances of the season. Drogba headed the Blues ahead in the 38th after a dink cross by Juan Mata. Newcastle looked off-kilter in the first half offering little in the way of attacking bite. Newcastle keeper Tim Krul did well to save a Lampard penalty in the first half but the second half he did not get much help from his teammates. Kalou sealed the victory in the 89th with a goal from the center of the area, then Sturridge added a third in added time with a nice goal after cutting onto his favored left. Manchester City 5-1 Norwich City It was a rousing afternoon for table toppers Man City with five different players scoring all five of their goals. Sergio Agüero started the romp in the 32nd by scoring his 10th goal of the season. In the 51st Samir Nasri kept the goals coming with a goal from a free kick and then in the 68th Yaya Toure put City up three with a nice shot to the bottom right corner of goal. After a Steve Morison goal in the 81st for Norwich City Mario Balotelli answered with a close range goal. England winner bagged the fifth goal of the day with a left footed shot from the right that found the far bottom of goal. Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Bolton Spurs moved up to 2nd in the league with a convincing performance against Bolton. Welsh defender/winger Gareth Bale put the hosts up early with a goal in the 7th minute. Bale blasted in a left footer from the six-yard box and set the tone for the afternoon. Harry Redknapp's men got another boost after Gary Cahill was shown red for a bad foul in the 18th. Spurs took advantage in the 50th from an Aaron Lennon goal. The speedy winger whipped in a shot to the bottom left corner of goal and put Tottenham in a comfortable position. Ten minutes later in-form striker Jermain Defoe added the third off an assist from Gareth Bale. It was all over at that point with Spurs looking up and Bolton drifting farther to the bottom of the league table.
