CAIRO: Egyptian railway workers currently on strike said they would suspend their sit-in for one day on Thursday after the railway committee promised to look into their demands. The strikers are demanding their late financial incentives. Representatives from the committee met with the workers in the presence of military and state police and promised to discuss their demands if they suspend the strike. Egypt's railways had stopped on Tuesday due to the strike in the eastern Delta region. The workers on strike were protesting in four cities' stops including Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta and Zaqazeq. The workers said they will resume their strike on Friday if the committee does not respond to them with decisions. BM
