Moko the dolphin is now one of history's most heroic animals, according to Time Magazine. The friendly bottlenose, which frequented the New Zealand's East Coast shores, has made the top ten list for the world's most heroic animals. He's been recognised for preventing a whale and calf from beaching themselves in Mahia three years ago. Amy Taylor has just finished a documentary about Moko and says a DOC ranger witnessed the rescue. She says the whales were in a bad way and about to be euthanised when Moko led them to the open ocean. BM
