RABAT: Tunisian club sides Club Africain and Etoile Sportive du Sahel appear to be interested in Algeria's B team and Olympic national team manager Abdelhak Ben Chikha. The coach told Algerian state radio that he has already been contacted by both clubs for a possible move. According to the manager, both sides have a desire to sign him over the summer, after the two Tunisian clubs had up and down seasons in their domestic leagues and continental championships. Both of the Tunisian clubs sacked their foreign coaches and replaced them with temporary managers as they search for a new leader. Chikha is their hope. It is unclear whether the Algerian Olympic team manager will make a move. In his interview, he said he was unsure of his future, but left open the idea of making a possible transfer favorable. “I was contacted by my old club, Club Africain, they want to bring me back. Plus, Etoile Sportive du Sahel. I signed a contract with the FAF that runs until 2012, so that means I have a long term project to do with the B team and the Olympic team, but you never know what destiny has in store for you,” he said. Ben Chikha, who just recently led his team to a qualification for the 2011 African Championship of Nations over Libya, also spoke about the future plans of the local Fennecs. “Work is going to pick up again after the World Cup. For the moment we have a return friendly against Liechtenstein scheduled for November and we’re waiting for confirmation of other matches, probably against Tunisia, Morocco, and Libya,” he said in the radio interview.
