(Others) – Several activists blocked the Alexandria-Cairo railway on Sunday to protest Assiut's train-bus accident that left some 50 children dead on Saturday. Train services in the Delta were halted for almost 40 minutes. Activists condemned the accident and demanded justice for the victims. On Saturday, a bus collided with a train in Manfalout village in Assiut, Upper Egypt, killing 51 people. Most of the victims were children aged between four and six years old. Following the accident activists gathered at Assiut governorate headquarters to demand the resignation of the governor, Yehia Keshk, who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
