The Egyptian President Mohammed Morsy sent a congratulatory message to new pope “Twadros II” over being chosen as the new Egyptian Coptic pope. Morsy referred in his message to the good relations between Egypt' Copts and Muslims. Muslim brotherhood's “Freedom and Justice” party also congratulated the pope, in addition to the congratulatory messages from Mohammed Badie' the General Guide of Muslim Brotherhood. In a press release, “Liberal Egyptians Party” congratulated the Egyptian Orthodox Church and the Egyptians for choosing “Pope Twadros II” as the new Coptic Pope today, expecting the best from him. The new pope received congrats from all the Copts, specially, at Al-Behaira where he served as General Bishop of Diocese. “Bishop Twadros II is the right person for this period, he is qualified enough to unify all the Copts”, said Iman Ramzy, a political activist. Ayman Sadea', member of citizenship commission at El-Behaira Diocese, assured that “Pope Twadros II” has a stature inside the Copt's hearts in El-Behaira, specially the youth. On Twitter, many political activists and public figures congratulated pope Twadros II, such as, Dr. Mohammed El-Baradei, Dr. Amr Hmazawy, the actor Khaled El-Nabawy, Fatma Naaot and the journalist Abdelrahman Youssef. In statements made by the new Pope, he said he feels fear and dread of the new position, as it is a great responsibility, he prays for God's help, considering himself as a pope for all Egyptians
