Egypt's El Sewedy Electric company is working on executing two energy projects in UAE with total production capacities of 1956 megawatt, its Vice President Wael Hamdy said. He added that the company would implement these projects in cooperation with number of international companies such as Siemens and one of the leading French companies in the energy sector. Hamdy further told Amwal Al Ghad that the first project includes supply, installation and execution of the fourth phase of a power station located at Al Awir, Dubai with total capacity of 815 megawatt and total cost of $300 million. The time frame of completing the project is by the beginning of 2020, he added. Meanwhile, the other project includes implementing a power plant in Sharjah with total capacity of 1150 megawatt.
