Egypt's Sisi to attend Africa-Europe forum in Vienna on Monday

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will take part on Monday in the High-Level Forum Africa-Europe which will be held in Vienna.
The Forum is co-hosted by Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda and current Chairperson of the African Union, and Sebastian Kurz, the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, which holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The two-day forum will be attended by African and European heads of state or government, CEOs of major global companies as well as innovative entrepreneurs and stakeholders to Corporates, as well as startups, to have the opportunity to interact with high-level government representatives, potential investors and cooperation partners.
The forum's theme ‘Taking cooperation to the digital age' promotes innovation and digitalisation as important enablers for future development, so that everyone can benefit from the ongoing digital transformation. A lot of innovation is happening both in Africa and in Europe, with many creative start-ups providing solutions for different emerging challenges, and the forum will be an opportunity to showcase them and to learn from exchanged experiences.
The aim of the High-Level Forum is to highlight the untapped potential for deepening the partnership in technology exchange and trade as well as their importance for economic growth, creating jobs, building resilient societies and fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The forum will be accompanied by Business to Business (B2B) as well as Business to Government (B2G) meetings, where entrepreneurs and innovators will be able to exchange their concepts and solutions for the digital age.
The event will include as well a Round Table Programme that will focus on key themes linked to innovation for the digital age in Africa: Agriculture 4.0 (in cooperation with the Austrian Development Agency); FinTech (in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Finance); Jobs for the 21st century (in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs); Investing in Start-ups (in cooperation with ABAN/aaia/New Venture Scouting); Sustainable Energy Access (in cooperation with SEforALL); eGovernment (in cooperation with the European Commission); and Accelerating eCommerce in Africa (in cooperation with the World Economic Forum).
