Russian, Egyptian opera stars together at Egypt's MUST Opera House

The State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, its engineering division Atomstroyexport, and Egypt's Nuclear Power Plants Authority will organise the Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers in Cairo on November 25-26th.
As part of the forum, a gala-concert «High art – high technologies» will take place on the stage of MUST Opera House. This unique international concert will feature leading Russian and Egyptian opera singers from the Bolshoi, the Mariinsky Theatre, and from the Dresden Semperoper.
Gala-concert «High art – high technologies» is an event with an international scope and a marvelous gift for the opera lovers in Egypt. World-known opera stars such as Sergei Skorohodov and Antonina Vesenina from the Bolshoi, Anna Aglatova and Konstantin Shushakov the Mariinsky Theatre, Gala el Hadid from the Dresden Semperoper will participate in the concert.
The concert will include key arias and ensembles from Iolanta, Don Carlos, Magic Flute, Barber of Seville, Carmen. The music will be told in the context of a single fairy-tale story line focusing on the love of a Russian knight for an Egyptian princess.
"Our concert is about a love that unites the world," commented Ogor Ushakov, stage director of the Bolshoi Theatre. "We are happy to offer Egyptian opera fans an ability to hear great voices in a great setting."
The concert organiser, Russian corporation Rosatom, is building Egypt's first atomic reactor near the town of El Dabaa.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has called the plant a new stage in the development of the Russia-Egypt relationship. The agreement for the construction of the four blocks, each 1200 megawatts, was signed in 2016.
About the concert's participants:
Gala El Hadidi joined the Cairo Opera Company aged 18. In 2013, El Hadidi became the first Egyptian finalist at the BBC Cardiff Singer Of The World. After her Music studies in USA, she was asked to join the Semper Opera Dresden as a Soloist, and became a Company member from 2010 till 2016. She is featured in the Deutsche Grammophon CD recordings of the Grammy nominated («Elektra») with Thielemann, Herlitzius, Pape and The New Year's Eve Concert 2010 with Thielemann and Rene Fleming.
Anna Aglatova is a soloist at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre. Having performed over 20 parts at the Bolshoi, New York's Lincoln Center, Seoul arts center, Athens' Megaron, Anna is a recipient of a number of international awards.
Konstantin Shushakov is a soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre, with over 15 roles and a list of completed international engagements and awards.
Sergei Skorohodov is a soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. The tenor's repertoire encompasses a range of Russian, Italian, and German roles. Sergei has travelled widely with the Mariinsky Theatre and is a frequent performer on European stages.
Antonina Vesenina is a soloist also at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. She has performed over 15 roles at the theatre and performs widely throughout Russia and the rest of Europe.
