EGX 30 Nears 4880 Pts, OTMT Soars 9.30%; Sunday Opening

During Sunday opening session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted early gains of EGP 752 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 338.063 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 09:08 GMT (11:08 a.m. in Cairo).
Worth mentioning, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Administration announced that the timing of EGX (Main Market) trading session during the holy month of Ramadan shall start from 10:30 a.m. (08:30 GMT) until 01:30 p.m. (11:30 GMT).
The main index, EGX30 rose 0.16% to hit 4875.74 p. EGX20 surged 0.66% to reach 5588.05 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up 0.32% to hit 428.36 p. Price index EGX100 inched higher 0.19% to reach 735.79 p.
Traded volume reached 2.857 million securities worth EGP 8.890 million, exchanged through 615 transactions.
This was after trading in 55 listed securities; 5 declined 42 advanced while 8 keeping their previous levels.
Arabs and non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 9.85% and 4.83% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 199.666 and EGP 821.626 excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers seizing 85.33% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 621.960 excluding the deals.
Leading Shares:
EGX's leading shares witnessed collective upwards except for the shares of Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) and of Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) which witnessed no change to hit EGP 29.22 and EGP 254.98, respectively.
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding:
The shares of Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) have led EGX's early upwards by soaring 9.30% to hit EGP 0.47.

Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) had paid Thursday, July 19, 2012, dividend No. 1, at EGP 1.05 a share, to shareholders of record till close of trading on the general meeting date.
The company's ordinary shareholder meeting approved the dividend payment, to be financed from realized retained earnings till June 7th. Accordingly, shareholders' share in profit will reach EGP 5.508 billion.
EFG-Hermes Holding:
The shares of EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) inched higher 0.63% to reach EGP 11.16.
Orascom Telecom Holding:
The shares of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) surged 0.61% to hit EGP 3.30.
Talaat Moustafa Group:
Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) went up 0.24% to hit EGP 4.11.
