Developers at Next Move to unveil top residential communities in Egypt
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 28 - 11 - 2017

Developers at the inaugural edition of Next Move Egypt, powered by Cityscape, aim to entice potential buyers with a range of cutting-edge apartment units, townhouses and community villas with attractive, flexible payment plans.
Preparing to open its doors on December 14th, and running until the 16th at the Cairo International Convention Centre, the first edition of Next Move Egypt, will feature a 40-strong exhibitor list, and will reveal hundreds of real estate investment opportunities to prospective homebuyers. Developers are expected to tout their latest residential projects at the larger mid-income market, with most developments located in the capital.
‘Housing top of the agenda' says Tom Rhodes
"Housing has risen to the top of the policy agenda in Egypt; there are extensive efforts from the government and developers to accelerate the completion of projects," says Tom Rhodes, Exhibition Director at Next Move Egypt. "Many of our developers at the show will offer a range of new projects from across Egypt, with a focus on middle-income residential real estate in the capital. We expect significant interest from potential homebuyers, who will benefit from exclusive discounts and payment plans which will only be available during the show."
Diverse Projects
Exhibitor, Heliopolis Developers Group (HDG) will showcase several residential projects including; Korba Heights in Nasr City, and Gold Yard in Sheraton Heliopolis. Dr Khaled Zaki of HDG points out that the Egypt market continues to brim with potential. "The current state of the Egyptian real estate market is very promising; new projects are being launched for people who want to invest and the demand continues to rise for projects that fulfil the needs of the current Egyptian market," he says.
Also, exhibiting this year is IC Group who will show a range of its smart homes in New Cairo including; Smart Life Town Residence, and New Life View Villas, Al Shorouk City.
Integrated Solution will showcase two projects in New Cairo; Jiran, and B81 and will offer visitors flexible payments with instalments made over 8-years.
While exhibitor, Al Safwa Real Estate will unveil its latest project, Capital Heights 1, a 50-acre project in the heart of the New Administrative Capital. The developer will also offer a zero percent down payment with a 7-year instalment plan.
Egypt's most promising locations at Next Move
New Cairo continues to remain popular, with experts pointing to the reduced traffic congestion as the main reason for its popularity. The area contains a growing middle-class and is set to become one of Egypt's most sought-after locations. Visitors to the show will be able to peruse through the various New Cairo residential projects on offer to find the home that best suits their family.
Another area to look at during this year's Next Move is the New Administrative Capital, which property consultant Colliers says will be a ‘promising project with a vision of eventually being a city by itself'.
"The mixed-use elements and districts planned with the city has also seen demand from both local and international developers to acquire land for new projects," says Colliers.
Ayman Sami of JLL agrees, saying that the New Administrative Capital has a slightly lower average square metre rate than more established cities. Another advantage to the area – he says – is that it will: "house all the government buildings, and will eventually pull businesses from the private sector."
The city will eventually stretch over a staggering 490 sq km, with the first phase, which will take at least five years, encompassing 168 square km. The new capital will also boast the tallest building on the African continent and will include an amphitheatre and several museums.
Exhibitors at this year's event include: Wadi Degla, Prime Properties, Memaar Al Morshedy, Porto Vacation Club, Diarna Real Estate, Amlak Masr Real Estate Investment, OUD, Tabarak Holding, Cecilia Lagoons, First Group, Zahraa El Maadi Investment & Development Company, La Mirada, Gardens (Emerald City), Egyptian Housing Finance Company, Sea View Development (Edar), to name a few.
