A Test drive on "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" in El Gouna

For two exciting days, Toyota Egypt gave a number of journalists the golden opportunity to test drive it's brand new "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" which is assembled for the first time in Egypt.
The trip was organized by Toyota in one of the most charming cities in Hurghada “El Gouna". It took place on the 20th and 21st of May 2012. The guests were able to get a close look at the remarkable potentials of the "Toyota Fortuner4x4", launched recently in Egypt to change the SUV concept in the Egyptian market, due to its power, luxury and safety.
The guests were surprised by the impressive potentials of "Toyota Fortuner4x4" as they spent two days testing and driving the car through paved road, mountainous areas and off-roads. "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" proved its strength and its ability to defy the odds, and drive easily in all conditions.
It's worth noting that Toyota has chosen Egypt to assemble "Toyota Fortuner4x4" for the first time in the North Africa to confirm its commitment to the Egyptian market.
“It was important to us to invite some of the specialists in this field to experience "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" up close and discover its incredible potentials in different conditions." Said Ahmed Monsef, Toyota Egypt's executive chairman.
On the first day, the guests drove "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" on paved road from Hurghada Airport to Safaga while for the second day the guests got to experience "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" between the mountains and off-road in El Gouna deserts.
“They were astonished by the high potentials of "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" saying that it will be the first choice for safari and adventures' lovers and those looking for luxury, sophistication and power in an SUV." confirmed Monsef.
Toyota Egypt also organized an impressive show where it displayed the unlimited capabilities of "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" which met with admiration and fascination of everyone.
It is worth mentioning that "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" comes with outstanding features and offers high comfort safety and performance with excellent fuel consumption. Its length is 4.7 meters, height and width is about 1.8 meters which makes it suitable for the roads in Egypt, especially in mountainous areas and off-roads.
"Toyota Fortuner 4x4" comes with a spacious and comfortable passenger room with generous headroom, leg space and excellent front visibility. The interiors of "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" are designed to meet all the needs of passengers by providing a variety of convenient, multi-purpose storage places. In addition to the driver's seat that can be adjusted according to the most comfortable position. "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" also contains 6 speakers, 12 Cup holder, and electrical outlet in the third row that gives 12-volt. “This is a true family car suitable for travel and adventure" added the participants during the trip.
As for the engine, one model has a capacity of 2.7 liters, with 160 hp at 5200 rpm, as well as its ability to generate peak torque to 241 Nm/m at 3800 rpm. As for class II, it is equipped with an engine of 4.0 liters capacity, with 238 hp at 5200rpm and torque 376 N/m at 3800 rpm, and both models are provided with an automatic transmission, 4-speed for 2.7-liters engine and 5-speed for 4.0 liters engine, and a continuous four-wheel drive that comes in a manual transmission.
"Toyota Fortuner 4x4" fuel capacity is 80 liters, while the capacity of the Gasoline tank in other cars is only 65 liters, in addition to an internal cover for the Gasoline tank that cannot be opened without starting the car. It is also characterized by an increasing number of valves enabling less fuel consumption.
Certainly, all these features will make "Toyota Fortuner 4x4" the first name in the SUV market in Egypt.
