A delegation of Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is visiting Egypt to discuss the possibility of establishing an electronics factory in the North African country. Egyptian Minister of Communications Yasser El-Kady has received Thursday the Oppo delegation headed by the company's chief executive Lin Hai Hua tackling the suggested factory project that aims to meet the needs of the Middle East and Africa regions. This comes within the framework of talks currently held with major global companies for developed and applied technology in order to create a partnership in establishing technology parks and smart cities in Egypt. The Egyptian ministry is currently in talks with major global IT firms, seeking to create partnerships to build technology parks and small cities in Egypt. During the meeting, El-Kady showcased a package of investment incentives and opportunities the government is offering to serious investors as well as support programmes intended to enhance local research and development efforts. From his part, Lin Hai Hua expressed OPPO's willingness to inject more investments into the country's smartphone market to benefit from the privileges the Egyptian government would like to offer.
