Egyptian Exchange Loses EGP 2.6 Billion; Monday Closing

On Sunday's closing, the EGX posted losses of EGP 2.6 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 340.952 billion.
The main index, EGX30 dived 1.79% to close at 4738.1 p. EGX20 inched lower 2.02% to end at 5486.59 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged down 0.20% to conclude at 414.63 p. Price index EGX100 went down 1.66% to finish at 750.96 p.
Traded volume reached 66.750 million securities worth EGP 240.735 million, exchanged through 15.821 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 160 listed securities; 92 declined and 45 advanced while 23 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 83.89% and 2.99% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 15.047 million and EGP 9.896 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 13.12% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 24.943 million excluding the deals.
EGX's leading shares witnessed collective downwards led by Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) which dived 2.50% concluding at EGP 3.20. Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI.CA) went down 2.19% ending at EGP 24.57.
Shares owned by EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) sank 1.60% finishing at EGP 10.48.
Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) inched lower 1.17% closing at EGP 265.96.
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) edged down 0.75% concluding at EGP 1.32.
