Cityscape Egypt Honours The Real Estate Industry At The Cityscape Awards For Real Estate In Egypt Gala Dinner Presented By Emaar

"Cityscape" revealed the winners' names of “Cityscape/Egypt" contest hosted by Emaar-Egypt, to highlight major distinguished real estate projects starred the past year. The event, sponsored by Emaar - Egypt, included major local and global real estate companies took place alongside the exhibition of “Cityscape Nextmove/Egypt" the largest real estate conference held in Cairo.
A committee of experts specialized in the real estate sector has been gathered to evaluate the nominees, and their ability to create a competitive environment that qualifies companies in the competition to compete regarding quality and innovation in all fields.
Best Sustainable Development Award was granted for “Bonyan for Development and Trade" came in the first place for the project of Designopolis, while Commercial, Office & Retail Project Award was granted for Citystars Properties for the project of Citystars Heliopolis while the award of Commercial, Office & Retail Project Award granted to SODIC for the Polygon project.
Mixed Use Project (built) Award went to Egypt Real for the project “Tiba Heights" Mixed Use Project (Future) Award to Rooya Group for Real Estate Investment for Stone Towers Business Park, while Residential Project (Built) Award went to Orascom Housing Communities for Haram City.Residential Project (Future) Award went to Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate for Festival Living, Retail (Built) Award to Citystars Properties for Citystars Heliopolis project, While Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate came as the best Residential Project (built) Award for the project of Mall Misr.
Best Tourism and Hospitality (Built) Award was Sunterra of Al Ahly Real Estate Dev.Co, While Best Tourism and Hospitality (Future) Award was granted to Talaat Moustafa Group Holding for the project of Four Seasons Hotels Development and TMG Hotel.
Rohan Marwaha, MD of Cityscape, said awards attracted a large number of real estate major projects for distinguished developers amid the Egyptian real estate sector, expressing his gladness and thankfulness to the judgment committee for their time, effort as well as their transparency in choosing winners.
“Attendees were impressed with the unprecedented success of “Cityscape-Nextmove" amid economy's hard circumstances" Marwaha said. He added that the contest is one of the especial events taking place alongside with the real estate event.
Hazem Ashry – General Manager of Emaar Egypt – said that a committee of experts specialized in the real estate sector will evaluate the nominees, and their ability to create a competitive environment that qualifies companies in the competition to compete regarding the issues of quality and innovation in all fields.
Ashry also mentioned that Emaar Egypt has entertained with a remarkable year within 2011 regarding investments and undertaken projects, what put a burden over the company shoulders of The importance of encouraging and supporting the Egyptian real estate market through the sponsorship of the ceremony and he mentioned that the announcement of winners and giving them the awards will be held at a ceremony hosted by the company tomorrow,in one of the grand hotels.
Chris Speller, the director of Cityscape and Informa Egypt, said that the big ceremony that gathered many large companies, developers, contractors and experts was a special event, where winners have been awarded for their high quality projects, adding that cooperation, planning and understanding are the essential factors for real estate sector's development.
Speller affirmed that the competition is aiming to encourage innovation and real estate development in order to have a greater role in the Egyptian economic wheel, adding that the sector is developed greatly during last period, pointing out that focusing on good innovations will surely reflect in a better economy and no doubt the real estate industry.
