Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE)'s Executive Council for Personal and Capital Redemption Insurances was held last week to discuss pensions and insurance law as well as its effect on the Egyptian insurance sector as well as reviewing the results of the economic studies. Sources told Amwal Al Ghad that some members of the IFE's Executive Council for Life Insurance are to meet today with the Cabinet so as to exchange views and submit their own visions and proposals for the impact of pensions and insurance law on Egyptian insurers. Worth mentioning that the People's Assembly (Lower House)'s approval to the pensions and insurance law is final which has eventually provoked insurance circles' backlashes. Hence, the IFE's Executive Council for Life Insurance calls on making some amendments on the pensions and insurance law. The Executive Council for Life Insurance's today meeting with the cabinet has included discussing the notices about the health care law. The council tackled some points regarding this law such as the inexplicit forms of the medical services offered by the Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). The Council decried the insurance companies' indifference to the health care law besides the high prices in insurance payments.
