U.S. Palo Alto Networks eyes opening resident office in Egypt

The American network security company Palo Alto Networks aims at opening resident office in Egypt for Egypt and North Africa, Ahmed Abdel Salam -regional sales manager- announced Wednesday.
Palo Alto eyes finishing all executive steps to establish the office in order to enter the Egyptian market and follow up its investments in Egypt and North Africa.
Abdel Salam made this remarks during the round table held by Mideast Communication Systems company (MCS) - Palo Alto's strategic partner- to announce the future vision of Palo Alto to expand in the local market. The round table also highlighted the importance of coping with the latest global changes in data secure field.
The official stated that Palo Alto Networks targets increasing business volume to US$20 million within the upcoming three years.
Manager Abdel Salam said the Egyptian data security market is one of the most prominent markets in Middle East and North Africa since data security field is one of the priorities of all countries nowadays.
After its strategic partnership with MCS, Palo Alto has achieved growth rates estimated at 250% at the end of the third quarter of 2015, Abdel Salam clarified.
Palo Alto Networks was founded in 2005 whose core products are advanced firewalls designed to provide network security, visibility and granular control of network activity based on application, user, and content identification.
Palo Alto Networks competes in the UTM and network security industry against Cisco, Fortinet, Cyberoam, Check Point, Juniper Networks and among others.
Mideast Communication System (MCS) partners with world leading corporations like Juniper and Honeywell to bring the latest technologies, IT networks and Home Automation solution.
On other hand, MCS was established in 2005 offering Value Added Distribution focusing on Networking security for McAfee, Juniper, PaloAlto, Gemalto, Riverbed and Exterity.
