France-Egypt intra-trade hit €1.5bn end-June
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 05 - 11 - 2015

The volume of intra-trade between Egypt and France reached €1.5 billion within the first half of 2015 versus €1.2 billion a year earlier, Egyptian trade minister Tarek Qabil stated Thursday.
Qabil made these remarks during his meeting with André Parant -French ambassador to Cairo- to discuss the activation of the Egyptian-French Business Council as it is important to find real partnership between Egyptian and French private sectors.
He said that ministry of trade is keen on boosting Egypt's non-petroleum exports to France through opening new outlets and providing facilities for the Egyptian products to enter the French market.
Qabil added that he is set to take part in the Egyptian-French economic forum organized by the Arab World Institute in Paris in December.
The Egyptian-French Business Council will send a delegation encompassing 20 member to participate in the forum.
During the meeting, Qabil and Parant showcased the available opportunities to deepen and expand mutual cooperation in all industrial and commercial fields and remove all obstacles that face French investors in Egypt.
The Arab World Institute (Institut du Monde Arabe) is an organization founded in Paris by 18 Arab countries with France to research and disseminate information about the Arab world and its cultural and spiritual values.
The Institute also promotes cooperation and exchanges between France and the Arab nations, particularly in the areas of science and technology, contributing to the understanding between the Arab world and Europe.
