Egypt hosts Global Entrepreneurship Week next November

Egypt is to host the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) for the seventh time in a row next November 16, chairman of the Middle East Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (MCSBE) Ahmed Osman said Tuesday. This comes in line with holding the GEW in other 150 nations.
MCSBE is an affiliate of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) covering Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Morocco, and linking to the ICSB global network of affiliates and members from 70 countries around the world.
Members of the MCSBE include representatives from government bodies, universities, business associations, banks, venture capital companies, donors, consulting companies, large corporations and entrepreneurial companies, business development service (BDS) providers, and development NGOs.
The GEW will witness more than 100 events aiming at enhancing the entrepreneurship and spreading the culture of freelance between youth in Egypt.
GEW will be attended by representatives from government bodies, business associations beside students and professors of the Egyptian universities.
Osman added that the main goal of GEW is to provide the suitable climate for entrepreneurs.
He further added that the event is a good chance to link between youth, entrepreneurs, and different sectors in Egypt in order to create an attractive environment for investors.
GEW inspires people around the Globe through local, national and international activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors, introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
It is than just an awareness campaign supported by world leaders and celebrity entrepreneurs. It is about unleashing ideas and doing what it takes to bring them to life, spotting opportunities, taking risks, solving problems, being creative, building connections and learning from both failure and success.
