EGX Pares Its Losses to EGP 861 Mln; Midday

On Tuesday's midday session, the EGX pared its morning loss to reach EGP 861 million after posting losses of EGP 2.8 billion amid morning session. The capital market amounted to EGP 354.502 billion at 10:35 GMT (12:35 p.m in Cairo).
The main index, EGX30 slumped 0.02% to reach 4947.8 p. EGX20 went up 0.47% to reach 5835.19 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged down 0.29% to reach 439.51 p. Price index EGX100 dropped 0.06% to reach 782.2 p.
Traded volume reached million 57.063 securities worth EGP 229.929 million, exchanged through 11.740 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 143 listed securities; 58 down and 65 up while 20 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 85% and 4.6% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 20.093 million and EGP 19.717 thousand, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 10.4%, with a net equity of EGP 39.810 million, excluding the deals.
