EGX Gains EGP 7 Bln, Main Index Exceeds 4800 pts

On Sunday's closing session, the EGX extended its gains to reach EGP 6.9 billion as the capital market amounted to EGP 351.131 billion.
The main index, EGX30 jumped 2.57% to close at 4829.12 p. EGX20 surged 2.96% to close at 5627.02 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 climbed 3.11% to close at 444.4 p. Price index EGX100 soared 2.66% to close at 775.93 p.
Traded volume reached million 85.492 securities worth EGP 311.129 million, exchanged through 23.836 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 173 listed securities; 9 down and 154 up while 10 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians were net buyers seizing 81.71% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 8.700 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 11.91% and 6.38% respectively, with a net equity of EGP 6.527 million and EGP 2.173 million, excluding the deals.
