Cairo ICT 2014 Conference Kicks off Today
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 04 - 11 - 2014

The eighteenth round of Cairo ICT 2014 Conference has just kicked off today, with the theme of "In the Heart of Tomorrow'.
The event is being held from 4-7 November, under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) Atef Helmy.
Cairo ICT 2014 presents itself as an opportunity to open new markets, consolidate presence in existing markets and a chance to meet with peers on a platform which is neither too large to prevent networking or too small to allow for that.
This year, Cairo ICT acknowledges the United Arab Emirates as the Guest of Honor in recognition of the role it has played supporting Egypt to restore its economy.
The event is generally a focused go-to-market based event, where both the exhibition ground and the forum halls stand on equal footing in terms of importance. Meeting clients from important emerging markets of the region – Middle East and Africa – with Egypt of course at the center of such countries, is unique to this event.
The conference is to discuss, among other topics, cloud computing, big data, entrepreneurial community, social media and networking and broadband.
Moreover, the Consumer Electronics hall will bring together main players like vendors, power retailers or extended retailers in the fields of consumer electronics, information technology and telecommunications and gaming and entertainment.
Cairo ICT is a platform for new technologies and trends, but the twist that makes it stand different from other international events, is the tailoring of technologies and trends to conditions of the targeted markets.
This year will mark the 18th session of the exhibition and the course of the event will witness more than 28 discussion panels.
Almost 25.000 sq. m. have been given over to Cairo ICT 2014 Conference, where more than 500 Egyptian and international companies are participating in the 2014 Cairo ICT exhibition, which will feature more than 28 discussion panels on various information technology and communications topics, accompanied by participating companies showcasing their services.
