Egypt Shares End Higher on Wednesday, Gain EGP930 mln

Egyptian stocks finished higher on Wednesday attaining gains totaled EGP 930 million bolstered by local and Arab net buyers. The main gauge surged above 6485 points on Wednesday.
The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes on Wednesday afternoon.
Egypt's benchmark index EGX30 ended 0.42 per cent higher to 6488.72 pts, and EGX20 also finished 0.49 per cent up to 7526.23 pts.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rose by 0.32 per cent to conclude at 527.46 pts. The price index EGX100 went up by 0.37 per cent to close at 888.99 pts.
The capital market has closed at EGP 411.861 billion on Wednesday afternoon.
Turnovers
Through the closing session of Wednesday, the trading volume has reached 96.410 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 288.915 million, exchanged through 17.404 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 179 listed securities have been traded in; 40 declined, 112 advanced; while 27 keeping their previous levels.
Investors' Activities
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers acquiring 93.39% and 2.89% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 15.886 million and EGP 574.934 thousand respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 3.72% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 16.461 million, excluding the deals.
