Egypt, Sweden sign MoU for healthcare

Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population signed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding with Sweden's Ministry of Health and Social Affairs to support partnership in health and medical fields, as part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Under the MoU, the two ministries will cooperate in several areas of mutual interest, including developing One Health strategies to strengthen public health, exchanging expertise in establishing and activating public health control centres, and exploring the use of modern technologies and their applications in the healthcare sector. The agreement also covers cooperation in developing primary healthcare services, maternal and child health, as well as facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange between specialised medical centres and research institutions in both countries, alongside any additional areas agreed in the future.
The agreement builds on the strong relations between Egypt and Sweden and reflects both sides' keenness to expand collaboration through the exchange of expertise and best practices in public health, supporting the development of health systems and improving the quality of services.
Moreover, the MoU represents a key step towards deepening health cooperation between Egypt and Sweden and reflects Egypt's commitment to building international partnerships in the healthcare sector and benefiting from advanced global expertise, supporting the development of the healthcare system and enhancing its ability to address current and future health challenges.
